About the Institution

About the Competition

The First National Client Counselling Competition, 2026 aims to simulate a real-time law office consultation. Participating teams will interview a client, identify legal and factual issues, analyse possible courses of action, and provide structured legal advice.

The competition focuses on developing essential lawyering skills such as client interviewing, legal analysis, ethical reasoning, teamwork, and professional communication.

The competition problem may be based on any area or combination of laws, including:

Eligibility

Students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programmes
Two participants per team (Counsel 1 & Counsel 2)
Only one team per institution
Maximum 20 teams (first-come-first-serve)
